Students of the College are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline, integrity, respect and responsible behaviour. Every student shall:

1. Maintain Discipline: Follow College rules, regulations, academic schedules and instructions of teachers and authorities.
2. Attend Regularly: Attend classes, practicals, examinations and other academic activities regularly and punctually.
3. Maintain Academic Integrity: Avoid plagiarism, cheating, impersonation, fabrication and all forms of unfair means.
4. Respect Others: Treat teachers, staff, fellow students and visitors with dignity, courtesy and respect.
5. Carry ID Card: Carry and produce the valid College Identity Card whenever required.
6. Maintain Proper Conduct: Follow appropriate dress, language and behaviour suitable for an academic institution.
7. Zero Tolerance for Ragging: Ragging, bullying, harassment, intimidation and violence in any form are strictly prohibited.
8. Prevent Harassment: Maintain gender sensitivity and respect the privacy, dignity and personal boundaries of others.
9. Responsible Digital Use: Use mobile phones, social media, AI tools and other digital resources responsibly and ethically.
10. Protect College Property: Do not damage, misuse or remove College property. Students may be held responsible for intentional damage.
11. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the campus clean and support environmental sustainability initiatives.
12. Prohibit Substance Abuse: Possession or use of prohibited drugs, intoxicating substances and tobacco products in violation of applicable law or College rules is prohibited.
13. Follow Safety Rules: Comply with laboratory, library, examination, security, fire-safety and emergency procedures.
14. Responsible Participation: Maintain discipline during seminars, workshops, sports, cultural programmes, educational tours and other College activities.
15. Use Grievance Mechanisms: Raise genuine complaints through the appropriate College authorities and grievance-redressal mechanisms.
16. Uphold College Reputation: Avoid any conduct, on or off campus, that may adversely affect the dignity and reputation of Gossner College.

Disciplinary Action

Violation of this Code may result in counselling, warning, written undertaking, recovery of damages, withdrawal of privileges, suspension or other appropriate disciplinary action as per College/University rules and applicable law.
